The story behind the drawing
Made from a place worth remembering
A Lisbon poster built around the city's most recognisable silhouette, the Ponte 25 de Abril stretching across the Tagus in late afternoon gold, the Cristo Rei watching from the far bank.
This bridge has been connecting Lisbon's two shores since 1966. It looks different every hour of the day, but the moment Thais chose to draw is the one most people remember: that warm glow when the sun drops low and the red steel turns almost orange against the water.
The illustration uses a retro palette inspired by Portuguese travel posters from the 1960s and 70s, when Lisbon was becoming a destination for artists and writers from across Europe. It is a piece of the city that works on any wall, whether you have visited once or lived there for years.
