Made from a place worth remembering
This Lisbon illustration centres on the Ponte 25 de Abril crossing the Tagus in late-afternoon light, with Cristo Rei watching from the far bank.
The bridge has connected the two shores since 1966. Thais chose the moment when the sun drops low, the red steel turns almost orange and the water holds the last warmth of the day.
Its retro colours take inspiration from Portuguese travel posters of the 1960s and 70s, turning one of Lisbon's most recognisable views into a lasting piece of the city.
