Made from a place worth remembering
A retro surf poster of the barrel every surfer at Caparica dreams about, the moment a hollow wave folds over itself on the sandbars just south of Lisbon.
Caparica's beach stretches for 30 kilometres along the Atlantic, with consistent swell and a laid-back atmosphere that draws surfers, fishermen and families. The wave in this poster is the kind that breaks on autumn mornings when the offshore wind holds the lip just long enough.
Thais drew this from her home, a few minutes walk from the beach. The retro colour scheme reflects the sun-faded tiles and painted fishing boats that line the coast.
