Every MATHIS poster begins with a place on the Portuguese coast. The MATHIS illustrations are drawn digitally by Thaïs. The computer is where a coastal subject becomes an original illustration: a board, a wave, a bridge, a boat or a figure on the beach.
The finished images use a graphic, retro-inspired visual language. They keep the connection to a real place while becoming artworks made for a wall.
